Children’s Ministry at Lakeway
KidsWay is a wonderful and safe place for children to learn about God and Jesus through stories and activities. All our volunteers and teachers have passed background checks and have a passion for working with children.

Nursery – Rotation of Volunteers
As you enter the double wooden doors, the nursery is on your right hand side. The nursery is for infants only during our 10:30am service. In this room the little ones have toys to play with and will also have nursery rhymes or music playing as well. High-chairs are provided to allow our little ones to be fed in a safe environment. Please inform the nursery volunteer of any food restrictions or allergies that need to be noted and which diaper bag belongs to your kiddo. If this is your first time visiting our nursery, please complete our little ‘get to know you’ page to learn more about your child and don’t forget your wrist band.
Toddlers – Rotation of Volunteers
Our brand new toddlers room will allow our 2 and 3 year olds to play and explore with age appropriate toys with alternating group of volunteers. Our toddler volunteers will introduce God and Jesus to our little kiddos through a very short lesson and play. Please inform KidsWay of any allergy or food restrictions, please feel free to bring snacks for your kiddo. Pre-K & Kinder – Mrs. Christina
We currently have a rotation between Mrs. Heather and Mrs. Christina. They welcome our potty-trained pre-K and kiddos who have entered kindergarten into a class that involves slightly longer lessons and focuses on crafts and play to learn God’s word. Mrs. Heather and Mrs. Christina also begin having the kiddos learn sharing, patience and early reading stories. Please inform KidsWay of any allergy or food restrictions. Grades 1st-2nd – Mrs. Amy
Ms. Amy welcomes the kiddos to a class to transition them to a more structured lesson. The lessons begin getting a little more hands on with crafts and more involved with our early reading Bible, but does still allow plenty of play as well through small games. The kiddos begin having questions that follow the Bible story and are beginning the journey of a relationship with God. Please inform KidsWay of any allergy or food restrictions. Grades 3rd-4th – Mrs. Libby
Mrs. Libby welcomes the kiddos into a room that is Bible discussion focused. In this class our kiddos learn how to read and understand the Bible and also learn how to discuss what they read and prepare them to transition into our Youth program. Mrs. Libby challenges the kiddos to understand how the lesson they are learning can relate to their daily life and challenges from stress, bullying, fear and friendships.
