KidsWay is a wonderful and safe place for children to learn about God and Jesus through stories and activities. All our volunteers and teachers have passed background checks and have a passion for working with children. Please see below for more information on the KidsWay Leads.
Libby Richard-Specht
KidsWay Lead/3rd-5th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Libby was raised in The Colony in a christian house and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at the age of ten. After graduating from The Colony High School, she attended Brookhaven College and then joined the United States Air Force, where she retired after 3 years. After her service, she moved back to North Texas. She has a son of her own who is part of KidsWay and is married to another Lakeway Church member, who has two boys of his own; both in Youth. She along with Mrs. Amy are the KidsWay Leads. Please feel free to stop and talk if you have any questions!
Amy Kipgen
KidsWay Lead/1st-2nd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Amy started life in Canada and moved to The Colony in the 6th grade. She was raised in a christian house and accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior at age five. After graduating from The Colony High School, Amy attended Brookhaven College and studied Music and Education. She started teaching with KidsWay in 2014. She married her high school sweetheart and they have two young children who are also part of KidsWay. She is a current member of Lakeway Church and has been baptized. She along with Mrs. Libby are the KidsWay Leads. Please feel free to stop and talk if you have any questions!
