Ministries

At Lakeway, you’ll find two types of ministries; official church ministries and member ministries. We are fortunate to have a congregation with hearts of service. We are committed to supporting our members in their own independent ministries, and often times you’ll see us collaborate closely with them. The point isn’t to get Lakeway credit for “doing good,” but to help God’s outreach into our community. Click on the ministries below for more information.
Church Ministries

Men’s Ministry

As men of God, we seek to encourage and to help grow one another. We come from different ages and backgrounds, but we’re here to learn how to be the spiritual leaders we’re called to be. From the annual Men’s Retreat which has changed lives to the monthly prayer breakfasts, join us to build your community. Contact Hector Leal to learn more.

Women’s Ministry

None of us are called to walk our journey alone. The women’s ministry serves to connect and grow women of God. The annual Women’s Retreat (life changing, by the way), Secret Sisters, and frequent special events help our women create a network of support. It doesn’t matter where you are in your walk of life, we all need someone. Contact Kelly Leal to learn more.

KidsWay

KidsWay is Children’s Church for our kiddos, as well as helping during different church events. Infants through Grade 5 will learn about God in age appropriate classes as well as make friendships along the way. KidsWay will lead annual performaces for Palm Sunday and Christmas. Please contact the KidsWay leaders: Libby Richard-Specht or Amy Kipgen for more information.

   The Lighthouse Youth

The Lighthouse is a safe space for middle and high schoolers on Sunday mornings at 11:00am and Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm. Youth make life-long connections while learning to be ambassadors to their peers. Located in their own building, the youth group has really made The Lighthouse their own. Email Nancy Hicks for details.

Worship

When you’re in a group sincerely worshiping God, you can feel it. There’s an electricity in the air as you feel the power of the Spirit. At Lakeway, we’re lucky to have a worship team that know this is more than just singing songs. Whether on Sunday morning, at a retreat, or just at an informal event on a Saturday, they’re dedicated to praising God through song. If you’re interested in being a part of the team, contact Randy Thompson.
Member Ministries
The following ministries are attended or run by Lakeway’s members independent of the church. You’ll see these ministries out in the community as often or more than at official church events. Lakeway endorses these ministries and will often provide volunteers, a venue, and any other kind of support we can.

Hungry Souls

Nothing brings people together like the smell of barbecue. In addition to catering many of Lakeway’s events, Hungry Souls outreaches to the community through amazing food. Whether its a Family Fun Day or cooking for locals in need, you can bet people will come flocking from the smell alone.
